Dawn Food Products Boasts More Than 40,000 Customers

Who can be counted on to greet the dawn? Bakers.
Dawn Food Products Inc., named by its baker co-founders for the time of day they went to work, opened nearly 90 years ago. The business began as a bakery in Jackson, Mich., but the doughnut recipe got more popular nationwide than the doughnuts themselves locally.
Now the company is international, making doughnuts, muffins and delicious baked goods of all sorts, including some snacks sold under the Weight Watchers brand.
Dawn bought its Crown Point facility in 1987, and produces mainly puff pastry, danish and muffins. Today, Dawn Food Products has more than 40,000 customers, 4,000 products, 40 locations and 3,500 employees worldwide.
“Dawn Food Products has been providing wholesome, affordable baked goods and services for more than 87 years,” said Miles Jones, co-chairman of the board. “We have been successful by focusing on taking great care of our customers with outstanding quality products.”
